The concept of the manned habitat complex includes both mobile and semi-mobile elements and modules that can be linked together. This is to achieve the goal stated by Sylvia Earle of maintaining a human presence on the seafloor. These serial models will open up new possibilities for both science and marine conservation, as they can be deployed or easily reproduced in different locations in a relatively short time. They are therefore a good tool to raise awareness on marine issues and a perfect platform for marine sciences.
